3 Causes of Obesity in Young Children

Obesity in young children is a major health problem in our society today. It affects not only young children, but teenagers and adults too. Statistics show that one in five children is obese. In the last thirty years that has doubled and seems to get worse. This article will focus on three causes of obesity in young children and explore some treatments and preventions.
- Lack of parenting - Nutrition
How well you take a test on healthy and nutritious diet? Information is the most powerful weapon, you may have against obesity and can be transmitted to your child every day. The truth is, many adults simply do not know the facts. If you do not know the factors on nutrition first for your own health, how can you teach your child about it? This leads to another serious reason, the lack of physical activity.
- Lack of physical activity
Children do not play outdoor games like football, rugby, cricket, basketball etc, as much as they did in the past. Computer games, video games and television to name a few "thieves" have replaced healthy physical activity. Associated with this serious problem is the consumption of unhealthy foods.
- Fast Food Consumption
One in three children (from 4 years to 19 years) eat fast food daily. Causing children to take the extra weight, while increasing the risk of obesity. This is alarming news for physicians, parents, teachers and researchers because of serious health risks associated with obesity. Include more fast food fats, carbohydrates, sugars and calories than other foods.
OK, now that we know what some of the causes are, we need to think about possible treatments.
Treatment and prevention
- The proper parenting
As a parent, you need to know everything about nutrition first and foremost for your own health if you are able to care for your child and you can teach your child about healthy eating. Talk to experts in heather, online research, take courses in nutrition, visit the library and talk to friends about what is healthy eating.
- Regular exercise
Encourage your children to be involved in outdoor activities, including playing games, riding bikes, throwing a ball, and so discourage them from playing computer games and watch TV etc. watching television programs and play computer games should be time bound. If you are able, encourage your child to play sports weekend.
Childhood obesity is a serous problem today, but there is hope for this situation is improving. Health professionals such as doctors have a lot of healthy recommendations available for parents who ensure that their children remain in good shape. Parents must make the effort to lead by example rather than force their children to exercise regularly. If parents have good eating habits, so will their children.
